We’re Cozy Nook Publishing, an independent press nestled in the heart of gentle storytelling. We publish heartfelt, imaginative fiction that wraps around readers like a favorite sweater—inviting them into worlds that are kind, meaningful, and beautifully crafted.

Serella Savenko
For this interview, Serella Savenko insists on being listed as “probably human,” as "publishers refuse to make books cobbled together by a random stack of semi-mythical forest creatures in a jacket." It's likely best not to argue. This surprising collection of atoms has been mucking about with both words and images, in a semi-formal way, since at least the middle ages.
No, sorry, correction: since the middle grades.
Author Serella Savenko has taken a scenic career route. Savenko has a Bachelor degree in Sociology, a minor in Philosophy, and a Masters in teaching. Although this author started writing and illustrating early, there were also many detours along the way. Savenko has worked at Renaissance Festivals as both vendor and performer, been a State Park Ranger, done teaching for elementary, middle, and high school grades, as well as worked various retail and food service jobs. Savenko resists being a “real adult” and much prefers going on adventures instead. All of Savenko's art was locally sourced and ethically harvested. Art can be enjoyed gluten-free. The artist is raised free-range at a house with a spouse, kids, and cats. No dragons were harmed in the making of these illustrations.
Savenko is the author/illustrator of the new cozy fantasy novel Conclusions to Beginnings.
